ADVANCED SOLIDWORKS COURSE

Duration: 4 Months
Total Hours: 65
Mode: Online
Award: Certificate from UGC recognized University
Entry Requirement: Basic computer knowledge / No prior programming experience required

Course Overview

The aim of this course is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in SOLIDWORKS. Through structured lessons and hands-on training, students will develop strong abilities in 3D object visualization, including orthographic projection, and gain confidence working within the SOLIDWORKS environment. They will learn to create detailed part files, build assemblies, and understand essential design tools used in real-world engineering projects.

By the end of the course, students will be capable of producing professional 3D part models, complete assembly designs, and accurate 2D drawings generated from 3D models. They will also gain experience in advanced features such as animation, simulation, surface modeling, sheet metal design, and weldments, preparing them for industry-level design and product development tasks.

Course Content Summary

  • SOLIDWORKS Fundamentals
Learn the SOLIDWORKS interface, tools, and core features through structured lessons and practical exercises. The goal is to build a strong foundation and confidently navigate the software environment.
  • 3D Object Visualization & Orthographic Projection
Develop the ability to visualize and create 3D objects using orthographic projection techniques. The goal is to strengthen spatial understanding and prepare for advanced modeling tasks.
  • Part Modeling & Detailed Drawings
Create professional 3D part files with accurate dimensions, annotations, and custom drawing templates. The goal is to design precise components and generate clear technical documentation.
  • Assembly Design & Management
Master SOLIDWORKS assembly tools to build, manage, and modify complex mechanical systems. The goal is to understand how individual parts fit and function together in real-world designs.
  • Sheet Metal Design
Learn advanced sheet metal tools to design complex folded and formed components efficiently. The goal is to create manufacturable sheet metal parts using industry-standard techniques.
  • Weldments & Structural Design
Use SOLIDWORKS weldments to design welded structures, define profiles, create weld beads, and generate cut lists. The goal is to design strong and accurate structural frameworks.
  • Professional Drawing & Industry Standards
Generate detailed 2D drawings directly from 3D models for manufacturing and production. The goal is to communicate design intent clearly and meet professional industry standards.
